I think statuses should reappear on their own if they are not blocked by an Immunity or a different persistent status. Seems to me like some gross mishandling in the code. Why do statuses behave so differently? Silence rotates, Blinded returns and stays, Clear-Minded reappears when removed, but Farsight completely disappears.
